Although
Valentines day is the traditional time for showing your loved one
your true feelings, Making a spontaneous gesture out of the blue
will do wonders for you love life. Show your partner how special
you really think they are and you will be surprised at the effect.
Or perhaps you are searching for a romantic idea for a marriage
proposal to make your partner feel truly special.
If you are stuck for romantic ideas that
are perhaps a little less boring than chocolates and flowers then
don’t dismay, here are a few that might just help...
Champagne and strawberries for breakfast in bed,
with a single white rose which can be placed on a poem ‘The
white rose’ (see bellow)
Pancakes of French toast cut out into hearts drizzled
in maple syrup and strawberries with a glass of bucks fizz, a
perfect breakfast in bed!
Write little love notes and leave them about the
house.
A night in a beachfront hotel can make for a romantic
gesture. Get up early, before your partner awakes and secretly
go out onto the beach, gather some pebble and place them into
the shape of I love you, or Marry me, so when you take a nice
romantic walk along the beach later that morning your partner
sees the words placed there just for them.
Run you’re partner a bath surrounded with
candles and incense and follow with a relaxing massage with aromatherapy
massage oils to get you into that ‘loving feeling’,
a few glasses of champagne or wine would make them feel truly
pampered and loved.
Take your loved one on a champagne hot air balloon
ride.
Satin or silk sheets covered with fresh red rose
petals and candles dotted about the room to set the mood.
Create a romantic indoor picnic in front of the
fire.
Buy a luxury box of Belgium chocolates, replace
the middle one with an engagement or eternity ring and wrap them
up in a red bow and a single red rose.
Name a star after your partner.
Write a sexy message in the bathroom mirror.
Fill the room full of balloons and place love
notes and rose petals inside.
Wisk your partner away for a weekend, a romantic
hotel in Vienna or Paris are some all time favourites. (Though
don’t forget to make sure their passport is still in date
before booking!)
A day trip to York, sightseeing followed by lunch
on a river cruise boat.
Book a weekend in a country cottage with a log
fire to snuggle up to and perhaps a few glasses of wine to set
the mood.
Buy some red card, cut them into heart shapes
and write little love notes on each of them, then scatter over
the bedroom floor, or use them as a trail from the front door
to the bedroom if you prefer.
There are just a few ideas for a romantic valentine’s
day treat for your loved one. Here are a couple of poems selected
which perhaps can be used with one of the ideas above.

A
valentine to my wife
To
my dear loving husband
The old saying the way to a mans heart is through
his stomach well I think that holds true for women too! For Valentines
Day try cooking an intimate dinner for two and see how happy you'll
make your partner .
Create a dinner for two. First step is to review the space available
for dinner. Is there room for a sit down dinner or would a buffet
work better in your home or apartment. Second you want to develop
a menu that won't keep you in the kitchen all night but at the
table with your partner.. Third you want to plan a dessert that
will be a grand finale to a fabulous evening or the beginning
of a romantic night for two!
So let's start with the space, if you are planning a buffet the
key would be to create a meal that does not require cutting with
a knife. Items that work well are rice, grilled chicken or beef
kebabs, salad prepared with bite size pieces of lettuce and pre-dressed,
baked rosemary potatoes, purred soups, baked fish, should not
be cut but rather flaked with a fork. The choices are endless
it all depends upon the pallet of the guest.
Start prepping early in the day so that you have plenty of time
to tidy up the place and clean yourself up with out stressing.
Keep in mind your partner will still be looking at you and thinking
about how wonderful you are. Set the atmosphere as warm and romantic
as possible, fund upbeat music and candles work great. Remember
its Valentines Day and it should feel that way for your one special
guest!
Here are a few recipes for you to try.
